Gayatri, a brown, cisgender woman with long, dark-brown hair and brown eyes. She is smiling and wearing a light pink blouse. Behind her is a tree with some branches and green leaves.

Hi, I’m Gayatri (she/her)

Welcome to my private practice website!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with 8 years of experience working in various clinical settings with children, adolescents, young adults and adults. I am invested in the power of connection and community, especially for those who have been historically marginalized by systems that weren’t built for them. My hope is to empower the people I work with to reclaim their authentic self through community, resistance, and activism.

My lived experiences as a queer, South Asian, cisgender woman deeply inform my approach to therapy. I believe in holding space for the multiple, intersecting identities and experiences each person carries and honoring the wisdom you already bring into the room. Through a liberation-focused, relational-cultural, and trauma-informed approach, I support individuals who are looking to process traumatic experiences, explore gender and sexuality, or navigate their cultural identity and intergenerational trauma.

Therapy should be a space that welcomes all aspects of your identity and where there is no need to justify yourself. The work you do here is hard, and it can be exhausting to be vulnerable. Progress isn’t linear, and often involves set backs, or plateaus before reaching your goals. I’m here to walk alongside you and support your process to unlearn, stretch beyond your comfort zones, and cultivate new ways of being.

I am honored to co-create a space that is directed by your values and current needs. My integrative approach is rooted in the understanding that we are shaped by our experiences, culture, ancestors, and the larger social and political systems we inhabit.

I invite you to reach out to connect with me about exploring your identity and experiences. Call or email to schedule a consultation—I look forward to meeting you!
